Skull And Bones Drops The Details And Trailer For Its Upcoming Free Open Beta Test
Skull and Bones will be opening its doors to everyone in just a few days with a free four-day open beta test and Ubisoft is getting the hype train rolling with a preview blog and a new trailer. The beta test will run from February 7 to February 11 on both PC and consoles with cross-play and cross-progression support between all platforms.
It’s actually more of a head start, especially if you already own the game or plan to buy it, as all progress will carry over to full launch on February 16. There won’t be a time limit like the previous playtest, but progress will be capped at Infamy Tier 6 Rank 1 (Brigand). You can continue playing for the entire duration of the open beta test even after you reach the cap, but your Infamy Rank will remain will no longer increase.
Open beta testers will also be able to unlock exclusive rewards by reaching specific ranks and completing various tasks during the playtest. Rewards include an exclusive cannon, ship cosmetics, a lemur pet, and the sign language emote, all of which will be usable at launch. Active Ubisoft+ subscribers and those who pre-order the Premium Edition of the multiplayer pirate game will also be able to set sail three days ahead of everyone else.
The open beta build will include access to the East Indies region, main campaign contracts, side, repeatable, and bounty contracts, as well as the Elite Captains and Merchant Envoy world events. Pre-loading begins on February 6 at 1 a.m. PST. We’ll see you on the high seas!
