Aeria Games was founded by Lan Hoang in 2006 and continues to expand its portfolio of games. The company focuses on free to play MMOs in multiple formats including Client Games, Browser Games, and Mobile Games. Aeria acquired rival North American game publishers ijji and Gamepot in 2012. Aeria does not develop any of their own titles, they license all of their content. They operate the "steam like" service Aeria Ignite. The company was founded in California but was later acquired in 2014 by the German media company ProSiebenSat.1 Games.
